Taking the Leap!

Taking the Leap!

So, you're positive you want to get yourself a website. Congratulations! This is a big step, but one that is surely worth your while, as it's the medium to be on nowadays. No other medium will attract patients that are as highly educated, technologically savvy, and with money to spend - especially on their appearance.

But you're a dentist. So, what do you know about search engine optimization? Probably nothing. And that's good - because you're a dentist! But this means you'll have to hire someone to design your website for you, and work on marketing it by keeping it on the search engines. There are many companies that are capable of doing each of those things separately, and a handful of very good ones that can do both. Doing your research to find the best company to do this for you is a good investment of your time and money. A few of these companies are even specialized in doing this for medical professionals, so that you can be sure the company you've hired knows how to drive patients - not customers.

You can expect to pay a few thousand dollars for a quality website. This should include a certain pre-agreed upon number of pages, all design work, and e-mail capabilities. You may have to pay extra for added pages, or advanced features. You will almost certainly have to pay extra for hosting fees and continued consulting on re-designing and editing. However, consider this a small price to pay for continued exposure on the most popular advertising medium out there.
