Marketing Collateral
If you're treating your dental practice like the business it is, then you should have marketing collateral to hand out like other businesses do. Marketing collateral is tangible items that market your business, advertise your services, and promote you as a dentist. These include business cards, pamphlets, posters, and any other visually-based medium.
You probably already have business cards, so just be sure you're using them to your advantage. Any new person you meet should get one, and you should also ask for theirs in return. Not only does this provide as a useful opportunity to network, but by placing your business card in that person's hand, they are obligated to pull it back out at some point and look at your name again.
Pamphlets are a great way for a dentist to get something tangible in patient's hands. By featuring a small stockpile of pamphlets strategically placed around your office, you're sending the message to a new patient that you're looking for new business, and you'd like them to grab a pamphlet and hand it out to someone they know! Pamphlets should include both pictures and text. If you're not particularly savvy at designing your own marketing collateral, consider hiring a company to do it for you. It will be well worth your while.
